The keys in the form of magnetic cards, may soon sink into oblivion - the network of hotels announced that their guests will be able to access their rooms using mobile phones.

Supported iPhone, BlackBerry and Android platforms.
The technology will be tested in two hotels over the next month, and this means that guests can avoid the hassle of settling. Instead, you can download an application on your mobile device that allows guests to open their door by simply putting the phone to the sensor.
Testing will last at least 60 days at the Holiday Inn Chicago O'Hare Rosemont and Holiday Inn Express Houston Downtown Convention Center starting next month.
Bryson Koehler, a top manager of the InterContinental Hotels group, told USA Today:
"The primary task for us is to simplify the use of the key."
“You shouldn’t burden people with additional devices, it only complicates their lives. The beauty of a smartphone is that it contains the necessary functions. ”
He said that the technology will be compatible with most smartphones, including iPhone, BlackBerry and Android.
If the test is successful, the use of the program will be distributed to the entire hotel chain of the company, and the sensors will be installed on every fifth hotel room.
