Firefox with WebM support - welcome!

The news was a bit late, but was not covered in Habré. Following Google Chrome users and Opera Software creations, the blessing came down on Firefox’s community. Not so long ago, the first nightly builds of 3.7a and the 4th browser branch with native support for WebM became available.

You can take them here (an installer for Windows, an image for Mac OS X and a tarball for Linux), or you can build a build from the trunk yourself (which I actually will do later, wait for the review). I also remind you that Opera users can get their WebM builds right here , and free Chromium, here .

For those who are not familiar with WebM (are there any?): Http://www.webmproject.org . In short, this is a new media format from Google, which is designed to connect the open VP8 codec, Vorbis and Matroska container together and replace the H.264 + MP3 bundle in the MP4 container.
