Panasonic introduced the world's first portable professional video camera that can shoot stereo video.

In the case of high-strength plastic fit two lenses at once and two matrices of 2 megapixels each, creating video with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Recording is done on a standard SD card in AVCHD format. There are two slots with cards of 32 GB each. On one full battery, the camera can capture up to 180 minutes of video.

On the case there is a dual HD-SDI connector, HDMI port and two XLR-outputs for recording "surround" sound. The left side of the Panasonic AG-3DA1 is replete with a large number of settings that help control the shooting process, stereoscopic effect and sound recording.

The dual lens system automatically calibrates the horizontal and vertical offset, for which the computer or at least a separate video processor was previously required to correct. The new camcorder provides direct recording of three-dimensional images.
