Does Last.fm again work for free?

As everyone probably remembers, more than a year ago, listening to music through the popular Last.fm player was paid for everyone who was not lucky enough to live in the USA, UK or Germany.

However, today in the blogosphere (in particular, on Twitter and in LJ) there were messages from users from different countries (Czech Republic, Ukraine, Russia) that you can listen to music again for free. Some users write that they received a notification that they have 30 free tracks to listen to.

To check, I installed the official player and entered the name of one of the musical groups. And everything began to work as once upon a time, when everything was free! :) In theory, after thirty tracks everything should have disappeared, but no, I still listen to music. And on the last.fm page I still have the message:

Hi, you've got 30 track free trial of Last.fm Radio. If you enjoy it, subscribe for only $ 3.00 / month.

Official messages from Last.fm so far did not seem to be. So what is this, some kind of change in conditions or a temporary glitch?
