The European Commission plans to provide all Europeans with high-speed Internet access by 2020
The European Commission published a document according to which its plans include providing all Europeans with access to the Internet by 2020 at a speed of at least 30 megabits per second. In this case, it is expected that half of the houses will have access at a speed of 100 megabits per second and above.
Currently, only 1% of Europeans have quick access to the network. For comparison: in Japan and South Korea, this number is 12% and 15%, respectively.
It is interesting that, according to the same document, more than half of Europeans use the Internet daily, and 30% never used it.
