Yota and LTE
In 2010 , Yota plans to launch LTE in 5 cities (among them Kazan, Novosibirsk, Samara ) and will spend $ 100 million on this. The first batch of BS will be delivered to Russia in July.
According to Yota, LTE will appear in Moscow and St. Petersburg by the end of 2011 .
The LTE devices needed to work in the network will appear in 2010, and the phones in 2011.

At the same time, Yota will continue to develop the WiMAX network in those regions where the network has already been launched: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Sochi and Krasnodar. Only in Moscow it is planned to increase base stations by 2.5 times.
Inside the network, a roaming-free service model will remain. Roaming will be supported within the standard, WiMAX devices will not work in LTE networks, and vice versa.
