The popularity of the social service Google Buzz was hampered for a long time, in particular by the fact that the service did not have an API with which it could be embedded into other programs, as it happens with Twitter. At the Google conference, the I / O API was announced. Now, third-party developers will be able to add Buzz support to their programs or create new applications that work with the Google service. API capabilities will allow you to perform all the same actions that are possible when working with Buzz through Gmail: reading comments, adding media content, and so on.
Among the first applications to use the Buzz API are TweetDeck and Seesmic. Also, the integration will be carried out in services such as Boxee, Meebo, Plancast, Socialwok and some others. The full list can be found here . Seesmic is known to integrate Buzz into a desktop, mobile and online version of its client.
OAuth protocol will be used for authorization, which will allow you to log in to Buzz without transferring a password to the application. ')
