News iPhone applications Gloss.ua: branding Tuborg, Odessa, Android, Nokia
In this post I will tell you how things are going with the development of the iPhone application with the poster of Kiev from Gloss.ua.
Let me remind you that in December 2009, we launched a free application with a poster of cinema, concerts, theaters, night clubs, a full database of restaurants and other institutions in Kiev, including their GPS coordinates.
As of May 19, 2010, the number of downloads was 3,624. The audience of the application continues to grow, according to Google Analytics, over the last month, the page of the application was viewed 68,474 times, on average, the user spends 7 minutes and 46 seconds in the application.

In May, we found the first advertiser, the Tuborg beer brand. The current, version 2.1 of the app from Gloss.ua is branded in green Tuborg colors, and also contains a mini-website dedicated to the Tuborg advertising campaign “Go straight to the club in Europe!” With a description of the best clubs in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, the Czech Republic , Austria, Poland, Portugal, Belgium.
We are proud of this project, since the advertiser received targeting by a unique audience - the owners of the iPhone, and no one else has done similar non-standard iPhone projects in Ukraine.
Due to the first commercial success, we move on and recently launched the first regional version - the app Gloss.ua for Odessa , also branded Tuborg. If things are going well, by the end of the summer we will be able to launch the application for several more large cities of Ukraine.
In addition, we are working on the 3.0 version of the application. We plan to make a connection with the user profile on the Gloss.ua site, the ability to write comments and rate the institutions and synchronize this data with the information on the site.
We also found an excellent development team, which is now preparing a version of Gloss.ua for Android, and we expect to have time to submit it to the HTC Anroid contest before June 10.
At the same time puzzled by the creation of applications for Nokia. But since we almost never came across this platform, more precisely with all the platforms on which Nokia works, we ask for help from the Habrasoobschestva.
Tell me how best to implement such an application? Advise good developers or who is ready to take on this work?
