According
to TechCrunch, Google is going to introduce a new cloud storage service, which will be a direct competitor to Amazon S3. It will be called “Google Storage for Developers”, or “GS”.
Among the features: REST API, the ability to use Google accounts to restrict access to files. Data management will be available to developers through a web interface and command line utility.
It is logical to assume that GS will also have integration with CDN, by analogy with Amazon CloudFront.
