The Chinese manufacturer of mediocre phones and good telecommunications equipment, the company ZTE, decided to try their hand at the MID segment. At the
world exhibition , which is now taking place in Shanghai, the manufacturer brought the announcement of ZTE V7 - a four-inch tablet with a QWERTY-keyboard and Maemo operating system. The last one, let me remind, as long as it was plainly used only by the Finns from Nokia.
ZTE V7 has a 4.1-inch display with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. The heart of the tablet is the Marvell PXA310 processor with a frequency of 806 MHz. In addition, there are Wi-Fi and GPS modules, support for microSD memory cards, a 3.2 MP webcam and a microUSB connector. Installation of 3G CDMA1X and EV-DO modules is possible.

When and how much the device will be sold yet nothing is known. But, considering the aggressive policy of ZTE, this is probably a matter of a few months and a couple of hundred dollars. Not so long ago, ZTE announced global plans. By 2015, the company is going to reach the third place in the world in the mobile phone market. Now ZTE occupies about 4% of the market and 30% of Chinese. The last figure inspires respect.
