Probably, it is hard to disagree with the fact that twitter has changed the modern Internet, it has become dynamic and, in my opinion, more human. And the twitter itself from a simple toy for geeks has turned into a mass phenomenon - over 100 million users in the world, about 200 thousand Cyrillic users.
Most of the significant phenomena or professions in IT have their professional holidays - days, the dates of which somehow relate to the specifics of the profession or phenomenon. For example, April 4 is the day of the web developer (4.04), September 13 is the day of the programmer (256 day per year), August 31 is the blogger's day (August 31 is similar to the English word blog) and others. Twitter does not have such a day yet, but we propose to start celebrating it on the 140th day of the year - May 20th in a regular year or 19th in a leap year.
How to celebrate it? Yes, probably everyone will celebrate it as they please, You can just tweet with the hashtag #twitterday, you can get together with your friends, you can try to develop with twiples from your city, district, or your option.
')
To popularize the event, a simple site
http://twitterday.org/ru/ was created where the holiday was briefly described, and where you can immediately send a tweet about #twitterday. It would be grateful if there were people who would help to translate the site into other languages or somehow would help in spreading the idea of celebrating the Day of the tweeter.
I hope you like the idea and #twitterday will take root. I would be glad to any constructive suggestions.
