Not so long ago, an interesting project from one of the creators of The Pirate Bay for micropayments was highlighted at Habré. As soon as this project was announced, it seemed to me to be interneskim and I immediately requested an invite, and finally, after a few months of waiting, he finally arrived :)
Let me remind you that
Flattr is a micropayment system that allows you to support the author of the content with money.
')
I would like to make a short review of this certainly interesting service.
ATTENTION: There are a lot of pictures under the cut!
Interface
And so, here we have already registered and logged in and we have before us a convenient list of all the popular news, it can be both regular articles and pictures, audio and video recordings, and even software, the only condition - you must be the author of the content.

The interface seemed to me very nice
There is a convenient sorting by categories and by the time content is added. For example, you can watch only the video category and only those videos that were added in the last 24 hours.
It would be wrong not to mention a convenient content commenting system, it would seem like nothing special, a trifle, but nice :)

Payment
But in order to become a full-fledged member of this small but rather friendly community, we need to do what? Right, pay the money.
And so, we go to the Dashboard and we are politely warned that the account is not active until you download the money.

Choose the amount, and ...

We are redirected to PayPal. As far as I understand, PayPal is still the only supported payment method, which quite reasonably cannot but disturb some habrizhiteli. However, I had no problems with payment and the payment went without any problems in 1 minute :)
And here we already have the money in the account

It seemed to me a little strange that from € 2, only € 1.58 reached Flattr, who took the rest? Really PayPal?
Anyway. Go to the content you like and click on the Flattr button, thanking the author for interesting content.

Conclusion
The system of work is such that if you jab at the Flattr button only 1 time, then at the end of the month, 100% of the amount you have loaded goes to this author, if 2 then 50/50 is distributed, and so on.
If you downloaded the money, but for a whole month you didn’t press the button, then the whole amount goes to charity.
Summing up, I want to say that the idea and implementation of the project is at the highest level and that the system may be interesting for foreigners, but I strongly doubt that in {country_name} many people will voluntarily give money for content they like ...
If you have any questions, I will try to answer them as much as possible, ask, do not hesitate :)
