Director Mandriva denied rumors about the sale of the company

Arnaud Laprevot, who is the new executive director of Mandriva, denied rumors about selling a Linux company.

As noted in his note, Mandriva has always been a participant in various economic processes associated with both investing and buying. During its existence, the company absorbed Edge-IT, Conectiva and Linbox. At the moment, negotiations with investors are really under way, but there is nothing new or strange about this, since such discussions take place at all stages of the company's development. “We want to emphasize that Mandriva was not for sale to anyone,” said Arnaud Lapreauve.

According to him, despite the negative impact of the economic crisis on the company, Mandriva did not stop developing new products and improving existing ones. Also, the company had a positive effect on successful deliveries of PCs from Mandriva Linux to South America and Africa and increased sales of Pulse 2 and MES (Mandriva Enterprise Server) 5 in Europe.

"In this regard, it is not surprising that Mandriva once again attracted the attention of the industry," Arno concluded his message.
