In the old metal case after installing terrabaytnik became hot. However, there was not particularly cool there before - however, after reading some
comments , I decided to take care of my favorite middle-aged children.

I didn’t want to change the body at all, so it was decided to make fun of the wall - cut a hole and install a case fan. Honestly, I didn’t specifically choose a model - I just came to the nearest shop and asked to show everything that is in stock. The X-Silent 140 charmed with its size and price.

We installed it in the front of the case, almost at the level of the installed hard drives, by blowing.
Included are comfortable rubber feet for mounting. The fan can be powered both from the motherboard and from the power supply unit (adapter included). I have it powered from the power supply, and from the external, with a separate button, bolted to the wall behind the case (the external external power supply was originally conceived for external hard drives, but was not useful in this role).

Impressions
The fan is really
very quiet . It is not audible at all, although my body is on the table, not under the table. Due to the mounting on the rubber bands can not hear any vibrations.
He coped well with his task. Below are the sensor readings (GKrellM) during the verification of the DVD disc recording, i.e. when both the hard drive and the DVD drive are warming up quite noticeably.

I can not recommend, because he has not yet completed the declared 50,000 hours :-) But if someone needs a very quiet budget fan, you should pay attention to this little thing.
