Not so long ago, the functionality of attaching files to a letter via Drag'n'drop was
announced . Recently, the GMail team has expanded this feature by adding the ability to attach images directly to the body of the letter by dragging and dropping files.

Previously, it was also possible to add pictures by including the corresponding function in Labs. However, experience shows that dragging is easier for many.
This functionality works, so far, only in the Google Chrome browser (for the first time, the GMail feature works only in Chrome. Can it still be in Safari? I didn’t check it), but most likely this functionality will also be added in Firefox soon. To add pictures, the letter, of course, must be in Rich text format.

The picture is uploaded to the GMail server as an attachment. After adding, a resizing tile appears, which, in contrast to this functionality in blogger.com, does not change the actual size of the image, or rather does not substitute the reduced copy, but simply sizes the img tag. This is a plus and a minus at the same time. Of course, I would like GMail to make an icon with an increase to the original by clicking, but this would increase the amount of information that is stored on GMail servers.

Well, the last spoonful of tar: trying to drag a few pictures at once does not lead to anything. In general, the GMail team still has something to work on.
