Linux Integration Services v2.1 Release Candidate for Microsoft Hyper-V available for download
In March, we announced a beta release of integration components for Linux OS in the Microsoft Hyper-V environment, which added support for multiprocessor virtual machines, time synchronization, and an integrated guest OS shatown function. Today we are announcing the Release Candidate (RC) version.
In addition to the features presented in the beta release, the following features have been added to RC:
Download this version of integration components here (LiveID is required and a simple registration on Connect - approx. Lane). Officially supported are Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP3, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 / 5.3 / 5.4 / 5.5.

- Heartbeat: Allows the host OS to determine if the guest OS is running and responding to requests.
- Pluggable Time Source: A plug-in time source module that allows the guest OS to get more accurate time.
