Guinness. World records. Bible gamer 2008

Recently, going to one bookstore, I was surprised that I saw not one thing on the shelf, but two editions of the book of records - the usual and gaming. It turns out that since 2008, Hemer's records have been published as a separate book, rather than a few pages in a regular one. Unfortunately, I did not find any books in 2009 and 2010, but in 2008 it was also interesting to look through books. The book is quite large, colorful, well, interesting, of course.

At the end of the book is an alphabetical index of games, although I doubt that all the games published in the book are listed there. Interestingly, Mario-type games are several times (6), in different nominations =)

So, examples:

• Franchise brand "Super Mario" was sold in the amount of 145 million pieces and is the best-selling.
• The creators of the game Halo 3 during the development have eaten about 10 thousand pounds (4,500 kg) of pizza.
• The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion game includes 35,544 shrubs, 67730 plants and mushrooms, 94013 trees, and 395,696 mountains.
• The largest virtual beer festival takes place every year in World Of Warcraft, when the sworn enemies of the Horde and the Alliance gather for the Brewfest festival, which lasts about a week and includes a huge selection of virtual beers for sale.
• Game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night contains 1890 rooms.
• Lara Croft’s breast size is actually a consequence of a Toby Gard designer’s programming error that accidentally increased it by 150%. However, the developers liked it, and decided not to correct the error. Also Lara Croft:

  3. The most detailed character in a video game. (character model consisting of 32,816 rendered polygons)

• Alone in the Dark (1992) is considered the world's first 3d game in the genre of survival horror.
• The least cruel 3d-shooter is considered to be Deus Ex (hotly beloved by me), which can be passed by killing only three.
• Sonic the Hedgehog has a limit of 9,999,990, and this result was achieved by 23 people.
• The game Mass Effect contains almost 20 thousand lines of dialogs, which is equal to the total number of lines of dialogs of 20 films.
• The largest number of games in the series belongs to the character Mega Man - 46 pieces.
• The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall game with 163492 square kilometers has the largest “land area”.
