Obvious and incredible: Cerebro with a Gantt chart!

To be honest, the first Gantt chart created for Cerebro suffered a crushing fiasco. In order not to annoy users and not to force them to continue throwing rotten tomatoes at developers, we temporarily removed it from the program altogether. Just in case :)


Months of careful development allowed us to present a new and long-awaited Gantt chart.

We implemented the calculation of time and connections between tasks using a plug-in to our PostgreSQL database, this approach allowed us to implement:
- work with thousands of tasks without “brakes”;
- online update for all simultaneously connected clients;
- the ability to view multiple projects at once;
- links between tasks from different projects (taking into account access rights at any level of subtasks).

We do not know whether we invented the bicycle or how many do it, but we ourselves like what happened with us!

Original chips in the diagram: the duration of the tasks can be calculated automatically, and the sketches of the contents of the tasks only decorate our Gant :)

In the next versions: the calculation of dates even on the “weak” Web or IPhone versions, calculations will be made on the “strong” server side, as well as the ability to speed up the server part by caching calculation results.
