Against the background of the increasingly tightening US government policy towards various social networks and other crowds of people on the Internet, the leaders of the largest portals seem to have found a legal and reasonable way to defend their rights.
Timothy Muris, the former chairman of the US Chamber of Commerce (
FTC ), who won the narrowly-known Miles Kirkpatrick Award last week for "a serious and long-lasting contribution to the work of the chamber, antitrust law and consumer protection," became the new staff in the Facebook office. Now, a man who has taken not the last place in the past composition of the White House will defend the rights of the largest social portal in Washington.
Naturally, Muris came into view for a reason. One of the most prominent lawyers overseas will deal with privacy policy and all related issues. Against this background, the Electronic Privacy Information Center, which is essentially a law firm located in the US capital, has already asked the FTC to investigate recent Facebook changes related to automatic cross-posting of information from Facebook itself to all sorts of sites. On the same day, TechCrunch
published a video describing a serious security hole in the portal, allowing
anyone to view the live chat of their “friends”.

Let me remind you that last week another former US government guard was added to the Facebook team - Tim Sparapani, the former chairman of the American Council of Civil Liberties Lawyers, now engaged in public relations and "party politics."
