I don’t know how much my passion for old laptops has gone, but the size of the current small collection allows us to boast a little. Friends gave something, changed something for food and beer, even bought something to please their loved one. Most of the laptops from my collection are alive and well, only one is dead finally, and under another one I cannot find a basket for a hard disk.

Start our tour of the past?
(caution - traffic)
Compaq LTE-25
(unfortunately it was not possible to revive)
CPU - 25MHz Intel i386SL
HDD - 2.5 ", 12.7mm

')

On the cover is a sticker from the SC about what does not start with FDD, but apparently this SC was not the last instance, the mother is dead.

on the right, mechanical dimmers and contrast controls; above the keyboard, power and carrier indicators, power button and reboot.

On the back panel, we have LPT, COM, a connector for the dock (?), Keyboard, and here is such a strange power connector.

IBM ThinkPad 760EL
(no hard drive basket)
It runs, enters the BIOS, but since there is no HDD or FDD download at the moment is not possible. Waiting for heavenly mana in the form of a basket of hard or the same laptop with some other disease.
CPU - Intel Pentium 133
Memory - 16MB RAM
HDD - not quite clear connector under the basket (I'm looking for)
LCD - 12.1 "TFT 800x600

Beaten by life, but still alive and there is hope for the continuation of existence.

Classic design. An interesting feature is that when you open the lid, the keyboard rises a little from the top and becomes tilted (like a student’s desk).

The keyboard opens to access the battery, and FDD, in which place you can put an extra battery.
IBM ThinkPad 770EB
Powerful and expensive for its time, the laptop, in fact, now it is nice to watch a movie on it, because it just has excellent sound. I do not know why, but specifically the sound of this laptop gives me peace of mind and satisfaction.
CPU - Intel Mobile Pentium II 266 CPU
Memory - 64MB PC-66 memory standard
HDD - 8.1GB HDD
LCD - 14.1 "TFT 1024x768
CDROM - UltraBay II with DVD-ROM drive

The same BIOS from IBM control in it is possible with the help of the trackpoint.

Now these keyboards are no longer done.

win2k

Japanese. I often carry it with me as a reading room and for surfing. When the hands are on its miniature case with velvet keys - it is inexpressible!

Memory - 192MB
HDD - 40GB HDD
LCD - 10.1 "TFT 800x600

CPU - Pentium M 1GHz
Memory - 512MB
HDD - 60Gb 1.8 "
CDROM - DVD-ROM drive
GPU - Intel integrated

IBM ThinkPad T60p
Not a rarity, but a very legendary laptop, with an IPS matrix, a magnesium unkillable case, a decent video card on board. My main computer, I am writing this article from him.

Memory - 2048 Mb
HDD - 100Gb with anti-shaking system
CDROM - UltraBay DVD-ROM drive
GPU - ATI Mobility FireGl V5200 256mb

Well that's all. There is another interesting exhibit, but it deserves a separate story, so I'll write about it next time. Thanks for the karma! Laid out in “Old iron”
