Freedom or the illusion of freedom?

I honestly and immediately confess: I am paranoid. I do not believe in the freedom of the Internet. He was free and remains relatively free only as long as states and large corporations allow him to be like this.

The topic of this collective blog Web2.0 is described as:
Culture will be democratic, the media - civil, freedom - universal. Welcome to Web 2.0.
but recent events in Habré have proved to everyone (paranoiacs like me do not need to “prove” such things) that this is all an illusion. And it didn’t surprise me at all; moreover, I didn’t expect anything else - the administration of Habra is power and can do what it considers necessary without any restrictions.

There can be no freedom on a site that belongs to someone specific! There is no guarantee that your articles will not be edited or deleted. This applies to absolutely all sites, except for one - your personal site, preferably located on your own server.

There are only three ways out of this situation:
  1. Place your articles on sites that are controlled by YOU, and on sites like habr (that is, where a large target audience is going to) let's just link to your articles.
Create a system where the owner simply does not have - distributed, p2p, without a central server. With encryption, penetration through NAT / firewall in the style of Skype, etc.
Humble - there is no real freedom, and be satisfied with the illusion of freedom that the administrations of the used sites create for you.

PS The case of digg is a single case so far, and it’s not clear how it will end (until digg won the trial, which is unlikely in our time, there is always the possibility that it will simply be ruined by suits). And in any case, now the administration of digg decided one thing, but tomorrow it may decide that another thread.

PPS While wrote this topic habr wildly braked. I hope this is not related to the fact that someone decided to “shake the law” with the DDoS of Habr. Such measures do not solve these problems in principle, as well as the attempts of black PR Habr in personal blogs and Wikipedia. The administration of habr can be won only by purchasing habr and becoming its administration itself. :) And other platforms in this sense do not differ from the habr, they differ only in the engine and the target audience.
