Quake 3 on the Moorestone platform

Despite the fact that the release of Quake 3 took place about 11 years ago, this shooter is still sometimes [used less and less] to evaluate the performance of computers. On all modern machines, Quake 3 just “flies”, but what about mobile devices? Thanks to the new Atom-Z chips (and the Moorestone platform), the legendary Quake 3 will work fine on mobile devices. Moreover, the screen refresh rate when launching a 3D application on a prototype device with Atom-Z was 100 FPS. It is unlikely that someone will play with a mobile phone in Quake 3, but this test allows you to indirectly assess the performance of the platform. This power will be enough for flawless HD video playback, multitasking and working with "heavy" media sites. Intel noted that the first devices based on Moorestone will appear in the second half of this year.
