We have an advanced monitoring system in the Evernote data center, through which we constantly monitor our servers, databases and load balance. At the slightest suspicion of a problem, the system sends warning alerts, and our rapid response team takes appropriate action. A few days ago, a warning fell on all the company’s mailboxes and mobiles:
PROBLEM: 3 Millionth User Alert
2010.04.29/13:04:47
Severity: Warning
Holy crap, 3,000,000 Evernote users!
As you probably understood, this time there was no cause for concern - we were warned about the appearance of the three millionth user of Evernote.
That's true:
Evernote is used by more than three million people . And we reached this figure in record time. It took us 15 months to collect the first million, 7.5 for the second and only 4.5 months for the third. Already more than 8,000 new users daily. A large increase over the past few months was provided by two relatively fresh sources: users from new countries and partnerships. About 44% of our new users today are outside the US, and 15% came to us from our
new partners .

thankWe are deeply grateful to all our users. Thank you for having found us, attached to us, for not getting tired of helping us to do better service. You should know that we always listen to all your comments, even if we cannot respond to everyone, and our product development plan is tightly tied to your opinion. By the way, you can wait for large-scale improvements in all versions of Evernote over the next few months, including one or a couple of really big surprises!
We sincerely thank all our partners who make Evernote's “external memory” much more and more functional than we would ever have been able to.
And finally, a huge thank you to the members of the Evernote team! You do what three million people use!
