AgileDays goes to Ekaterinburg!

How did that happen?

We had the idea to arrange a series of regional conferences so that the practitioners of modern software development management methods could get together and communicate with their colleagues in the region. And the first such platform for communication, we decided to make Yekaterinburg and gather the entire Ural region to discuss pressing problems. Therefore, we decided to arrange AgileDays Ekaterinburg'10 .

Where and how will everything happen?

It will happen in Yekaterinburg June 4, 2010
at the Novotel . Ekaterinburg is a very beautiful city - one of the largest and oldest cities in the Urals.

You can fly to Yekaterinburg cheaply enough by buying tickets to Avianova , so lovers of Agile conferences from Moscow can easily attend this conference despite the distance from the European part of Russia.

The conference is supported by Microsoft , SKB Kontur , the federal developer of software, is the organizer of the conference, so the entrance to the conference costs almost nothing.

Why do we want to get everything together?

Our main task is to share experiences using Agile, communicate with practicing developers and managers, learn about modern approaches in software development. But in order to make communication even more fruitful, we invited our colleagues to make presentations on topics that are interesting for everyone.

Agile experts recognized in Russia will speak at the conference, and developers from various Russian companies will share their experience: SKB Kontur, CustIS, Exigen, Open Systems, SoftLine and others.

What's inside?

We, AgileRussia and ScrumTrek, in turn, tried to prepare the most interesting and extensive program.

The conference will be opened by Askhat Urazbayev (ScrumTrek) with a review of flexible methodologies - it will create the general context of the conference for those who are new to Agile. I will talk about requirements management in Agile, and you will learn the secrets of testing from Illya Gavrilov (Exigen, St. Petersburg) .

Igor Goldberg (SKB Kontur, Yekaterinburg) will tell about the successful experience of using Agile in his company. Alexander Bindyu (Open Systems, Chelyabinsk) will share his experience and practices in creating an effective team.

Experienced Adzhayistam will be interested to get acquainted with a report on the correct architecture in Agile, as well as more than three years of experience in using Agile in custom software development from Mikhail Zaborov (CustIS, Moscow) .

Since Askhat didn’t seem like a simple introduction to Agile, we’ll do a small seminar with him about “How to sell Agile” (to the Boss, the team, the customer, and so on ...). I think this question torments many ...

The format of Agiledays conferences is fairly democratic, so you will have the opportunity to ask questions to speakers during special flip-chart sessions.
