In the first part of the review of
conversion tracking offline, I described how to find out the source from which the caller came.
But how do you know where the customer came from right to the store?
To do this, we also use the source definition tool described in the first part of the review, based on
__utmz cookie. But to mark the client will use the so-called discount coupons. After all, a discount is a good motivator, and a discount coupon will let us know all the necessary information.
A potential customer came to the site, printed a discount coupon. After some time, he came with this coupon to the store to make a purchase. The coupon contains the necessary information about the source in coded form.

On the shown coupon in the lower left corner we see the code
GA: 03052010 . He informs us that the client came to the site on May 3, 2010, by clicking on the
Google AdWords ad.
By collecting a certain number of such coupons, as well as information about the sources from which the callers came or ordered through the basket, you can find out the return of one or another paid traffic source.
