3D printing from Google SketchUp (Competition)

Last week I introduced i.materialise and what we do . Most recently, we launched the first “World of Houses” competition on our website for all 3D modeling enthusiasts. The three best designs will be printed in a 3D printer and sent to the winners. Here are some architectural models that we have already printed:




What is necessary for participation? Everything is very simple here:

1. Prepare a 3D model of any architectural structure using Google SketchUp
2. Install our SketchUp plugin
3. Register on our site to take part in the competition
4. Agree to the rules of the competition
5. Download model / models before May 24

Participation in the competition is absolutely free and open to all comers.

Winners will be chosen by our jury:

• Michael Lucy (Mike Lucey) - Director of SketchUcation, one of the largest sites dedicated to SketchUp
• Aidan Chopra - Evangelist for Google SketchUp
• Fried Vancraen - the founder of Materialize
