The company Alpinestars, the largest American manufacturer of security systems, has invented a safety cushion for a motorcyclist. The invention of Air Race is a Tech Air Race motorcycle suit with built-in air bags and a special electronic filling.
With the help of seven sensors, sophisticated electronics constantly monitor the behavior of the biker, ensuring the operation of pillows if necessary. When the motorcyclist starts the engine and starts driving, the smart system is activated. Within 8 milliseconds, the system determines the risk of a collision with an obstacle, and if it is unavoidable within 50 milliseconds, it completely fills the cushions of the protective suit with air. After about 25 seconds, the suit is automatically deflated, and its GPS system will help determine where the accident occurred.
The Alpinestars motorcycle suit differs from car pads in that it is reusable. Two compact metal cylinders are sewn into it, which can be refilled after operation. At their full refueling takes less than a minute. The costume is currently being used by Ben Spice, Mika Kallio and Dany Pedrosoy in the MotoGP races.
