The first patented motorcycle with a hammer

The starting price of this Hildebrand & Wolfmüller motorcycle, produced in Germany in 1894, is $ 131,200. Which, however, is not so much for a true collector, considering that this is the first patented two-wheeled motorcycle.

Usually, the history of collection stamps is accompanied by exhibitions, polishes and storage in covers, but this “motorrad” spent more than 70 years in one of the sheds in the outback of the USA, collecting dust. The auction takes place in the UK, but there is no doubt that after the sale a two-wheeled rarity will roll back to the country of origin, because hardly anyone other than German craftsmen will be able, for example, to make a worthy replacement for wheels that have long spent their margin of safety.

PS I did not know where to attach this piece of iron, so I chose the most iron blog. Do not blame me.
