Scientists from Japan have created a robot Miuro, capable of performing complex dance steps based on music, the source of which is the iPod player. His movements are the result of complex mathematical transformations.

The robot resembles a ball, clamped on both sides by two larger hemispheres (in the illustration you can clearly see where it is). Hisashi Taniguchi, president of the ZMP company that created the robot, said that his specialists were trying to create a new form of life that moves freely and spontaneously, so that people cannot predict its actions.

“We hope to turn Miuro into a real pet,” added Taniguchi.
