Seminar on transhumanism in Moscow and its 50th meeting

In Moscow, under the auspices of the Russian Philosophical Society, for more than five years, meetings of the Interdisciplinary Seminar on Transhumanism and Scientific Immortalism regularly take place. The meetings discuss various topics related to the impact of the development of high technologies on human nature. The prospects for the development of medicine, and the victory over diseases, including aging, the prospects for the development of nanotechnology, cognitive sciences, artificial intelligence, etc. are considered. A lot of reports on the topic of futurology. To date, about sixty speakers have delivered speeches at the Seminar, more than half of which have a scientific degree and are directly involved in scientific research.
On April 30 at the Institute of African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences from 18-00 the fiftieth anniversary meeting of the Seminar will be held.
Two plenary sessions are planned.
- Overview report of Ph.D. Dmitry Novitsky (Kiev) on the topic "Research in the field of artificial intelligence."
- Overview report of Ph.D. Yana Korchmaryuk (Volgograd) on the topic "Current trends in the cyborgization of living organisms."
There are also plans for a series of short speeches and, of course, a buffet table where smart people eat tasty things and discuss scientific and philosophical issues among themselves.
