New generation
Recently, I talked about the principles and rules for labeling devices from ASUS, where I wrote that the letter “ N ” in the name of a series of laptops should be interpreted as “ New generation ”.
What is so new about them?
Along with the N-series, in this article we can talk about the “ NX ” line ( New generation , eXtraordinary , high-end line of home entertainment centers).
First, all devices in this series are built on the basis of new Intel Core processors - i3, i5 and i7. This is the new product in the field of processor construction, to which the overwhelming majority will inevitably come sooner or later.

Secondly, all devices will be equipped with high-speed USB connectors of version 3.0 - of course, tenfold speed increases, as in beautiful advertisements, will not be in practice ... but the increase is noticeable. It is also an unavoidable standard and, in my opinion, the sooner the better. And if only lazy did not speak about the new “crusts” and “USB 3.0”, then I would like to stop for a while at the next debut innovation of the series.
As you know, in many laptops, sound is no good at all - this problem has become so acute that at one time generated new classes of devices and all sorts of tricks ... but the worst thing is that many manufacturers do not consider it necessary to give this issue at least some attention. They are optimistic that everyone will listen to music in headphones - most likely that is why the sound at a low volume does not really sound, and at the volume turned out there are continuous rattles, the complete absence of bass and other artifacts.
ASUS engineers realized that it was necessary to deal with the cause, not the effect. Therefore, the “sound question” was decided together with Bang & Olufsen , which ate not one dog in the production of Hi-end audio. This is how the ASUS SonicMaster technology appeared. The one that the company presented at the exhibition CeBIT 2010.
This is a hardware-software complex of solutions: sound-conducting materials and corpus geometry calculated to the smallest detail, large cavity resonators and optimally located dynamics inside the corpus allowed to minimize parasitic vibrations and distortion, and the new sound processor promises to work wonders with sound. Unlike other improvers that artificially amplified only certain frequencies, SonicMaster most accurately reproduces the originally recorded sound, without deceiving the ears with “primitive” audio filters. Reproduction is subject to almost the entire audible range - from the lowest to highest frequencies. The NX-series will be equipped with SonicMaster Premium , which, it seems, "well vaschscsche."
It is better to hear 1 time than to see 100 times - so far I can’t say anything about this innovation, because not yet had a chance to meet. And while it seems to me that it will lose in every way in terms of the sound quality of a good audio system ... but at least the fact that now a decent sound will be always at hand is beautiful without exaggeration.
