Pre-alpha version of "Fenek" for Android

Vladimir Vukićević told that the group of developers who worked on transferring the mobile browser Fennec to the android platform, finally managed to achieve some preliminary success. Success looks like this:





This raw version (available on the bit.ly/fennec-android hyperlink) has the following features:



→ It was checked only on the Motorola Droid and the Nexus One.

→ It can cause a mobile phone to hang, requiring a reboot.



→ She eats a break through the memory (it has not yet been optimized on this subject), so the Droid can even choke on rather big pages.



→ When you first start (and after installing add-ons), the browser restarts itself.



→ Fennec has not yet taught how to open hyperlinks passed to it by other applications.



→ Build requires Android 2.0 (or newer) running on a device using OpenGL ES 2.0.



Naturally, it is impossible for anyone to work seriously in it except for developers and masochists. But the news is interesting, and most importantly, optimistic.
