The arrest of the property of the editor Gizmodo

image I think that many, if they did not read the review from the Gizmodo editor, devoted to the leaked prototype of the new iPhone, they probably saw a video in which Chen turns an unidentified toy in his hands with genuine interest.

Dmitry Sokur from Seven Days Publishing House rather quickly responded to this news with his own opinion, which, unfortunately, turned out to be not entirely true - this is the last point: "... the guys from Gizmodo neither showed the main processor nor the graphic one. Why? do not fall under American industrial espionage laws . "

That's the way it is, but the real world sometimes throws up surprises that you cannot imagine in the virtual world. The apartment of Gizmodo’s editor, Jason Chen, was searched and seized some things, including four PCs (!) And two servers, in his absence. A search warrant issued by a California state court and now Gawker Media (the owner of Gizmodo and not only) is beginning to retaliate lawsuits in order to receive not only seized items, but official apologies from the authorities. A complete list of items seized and Jason's testimony will be under the cut, and here I will leave room for one line, which everyone will finish himself.

')

Finally, one more trifle - if the “Chen's case” is won, then every blogger in the United States will be legally considered a journalist, with all that it implies.

Playing with Apple, do not forget ...
