Photo report: Russia's first 3D LED TV rolled off the assembly line at SERK, April 23, 2010

Last Friday, at the invitation of the habrauser lamo4ok , I was able to attend a landmark event of its kind - the release of Russia's first serial 3D LED TV, at the Samsung plant in the Kaluga region.

And since I myself am interested in the subject of 3D and everything connected with it, I will gladly share what I have seen in this tour.

We decided to get there on our own, or rather on the car of a friend who agreed to help us (and at the same time to go fishing in Nara, not far from the intersection of the Kaluga and Moscow regions):

Lobby, there is something like a showroom with the latest:

And here's the novelty itself:

In the photo, of course, the picture is split, but you can at least see the quality of the image. As seen in the picture to the right of the TV, this is LED.

After we were all gathered and handed out special radio receivers, allowing us to hear the excursion at a distance of 20-30 meters, we went back to the factory and went to the plastics production workshop:

These blue pieces are molds, with their help all plastic parts are made - from buttons to the case:

Some kind of storage space. Of those photographers who were with us, very few photographed the situation around them, apparently everyone was expecting something unusual in the final stage of the tour. And in vain, all the beauty can be assessed precisely in the shops and other working premises:

The robot "shmyga" :) Deals with the fact that it transports all sorts of goods over those lines on the floor, the control is semi-automatic: he himself does not choose the route, he is set by the person:

And here is the hero of the occasion:

Of course, this is not the first 3D LED TV in the physical plane, but that's not the point. The company plans, judging by their press release, to start producing up to 10 models of 3D LED TVs already in 2010, so far only 2 models, 7000 series, with a screen diagonal of 40 (84 990 rubles) and 46 inches (99 990 rubles). The cost of TV, according to representatives of the company, does not include all sorts of state. import duties on products from abroad (except for LCD panels, naturally, since they are produced by only a few factories in the world and in Russia such production does not yet exist).

Monitors of the 7000 series are equipped with the built-in 3D processor “3D HyperReal Engine”, which, in combination with technologies such as the 200Hz Motion Plus and Samsung Motion Judder Canceling, will provide comfortable viewing of 3D content at home and allow you to achieve high definition 3D images even in the most dynamic scenes. Moreover, the built-in 3D processor is capable of real-time conversion of a standard 2D image into 3D, thanks to which ordinary programs and films acquire volume. The Samsung Ultra Clear Panel effectively absorbs external light and avoids glare on the LED TV screen, providing deep detail with natural, natural colors.

Also, the 7000 series TVs allow you to record and play videos directly from USB media, support Skype, as well as the updated Internet @ TV content service with a platform for Samsung Apps applications that allows you to work with web services such as YouTube, Twitter, AccuWearher, FaceBook, History, Picasa, Getty Images, RBC, GisMeteo, Sport-Express, Russia.ru and others. In addition, the new LED-TVs differ in advanced connectivity with support for DLNA and four HDMI ports. Well, it seems that everything I heard and read in the press release.

Just a few more photos from the trip:
