Satellite inspector DPS future - "strengthened" tablet H1 Field
Panasonic recently announced the launch of an updated version of the tablet H1 - the novelty is called H1 Field.
H1 Field is a secure tablet adapted to work in the field. The case of the H1 Field is made of magnesium alloy - the device is resistant to shock and vibration, moisture and dust, and is also capable of operating at high and low temperatures.
Externally, the case design follows the CF-H1 medical tablet. As with the previous model, Japanese engineers tried to make the case as smooth as possible - without recesses, protruding parts, irregularities - this is necessary for easy disinfection of the device. For the convenience of users, the former ergonomic charms: a carrying handle, a sling for holding in hand, a rounded bulge in the palm girth area.

The diagonal of the tablet screen is 10.4 ″ - the screen is large enough to work with full-fledged PC applications, but at the same time, it does not make the device cumbersome when working on the go.
From the additional "stuffing" available:
Barcode scanner (1D or 2D),
Camera 2MPiks with LED backlight (on the back),
The fingerprint scanner,
HSDPA cellular module (SIM-card slot is hidden under one of the batteries),
As well as an RFID tag reader.
The case is protected from dust and moisture, as it has no ventilation holes, and the connectors and compartments are closed with rubberized doors.
The security and the use of a bright anti-glare display make it possible to actively use the CF-H1 Field in the field.
Another indisputable advantage of the CF-H1 Field is that it is powered by two batteries that can be changed in the "hot" mode.
Quick-recovery batteries - access to the battery only requires opening the compartment. Such a solution is the most convenient, since, on the one hand, it is not necessary to unscrew the screws of the case to get to the battery, on the other hand, the battery is isolated from external influences.
The tablet uses batteries with a capacity of 2.9 Ah, the same as in the protected UMPC CF-U1.
According to the manufacturer, the operating time of two batteries is up to 6 hours. With spare batteries, this time can be extended.
The charge level of each battery is displayed on the indicators on the front panel. There are also other indicators and programmable keys.
The touch screen responds to pressing with both a stylus and a finger (even in a glove) - the brightness level seemed sufficient for working outdoors. The screen resolution is 1024 × 768 pixels.
The screen is resistant to moisture. The presence of water does not interfere with the use of the functions of the tablet - rain will not interfere with work.
So, Panasonic has created a mobile and secure device that will be appreciated by those users who need to work in the field, on the go, holding the laptop in their hands. CF-U1 and CF-H1 are designed for those who need lightweight and autonomous (like PDA) devices, but also need to perform functions that the PDA cannot perform, for example, display graphical information that requires more than a PDA screen run complex applications or run multiple applications at the same time.
