Competition for Android developers

On April 25, the contest for developers of Android applications in Ukraine starts - HTC Android Developers Contest. Both teams and individual developers can take part. An important condition of the competition is that the application was not previously available in the Android Market and is aimed at Ukrainian users (Ukrainian or multilingual interface, with a choice of Ukrainian or Russian languages).

The main prize is 35 000 UAH and the HTC Desire phone, for the second place there is a premium of 10 000 UAH and also a telephone, for the third - HTC Desire.

From April 25 to June 10, the possibility of downloading applications to the site will be opened (in fact, it will be possible to write a new application for these six weeks, the results will be published on the site on June 21, and on June 26 the winners will be solemnly awarded.

The organizers do not indicate clear criteria for evaluating applications, but it is known that the jury will take into account innovation and originality, as well as the level of use of platform capabilities (GPS, gravity sensors, digital compass, touch screen and camera). Localization of the application for Ukrainian users will be an advantage.

Also, within the framework of HTC Android Developers Contest, Android workshops are held for developers. On April 14, the first master class has already passed, and the next one is scheduled for April 28.
