Greetings
Yesterday I had an unpleasant situation on an old computer with the good old GeForce MX440 - during operation, the screen suddenly began to flicker with yellow. Later it was found out that the poor contact of the connector was to blame. Attempts to clean it with a needle failed. It was decided to disassemble.

Getting started
So, what we have:
0. Video card with a knockout connector
1. Soldering iron (40W is great)
2. Thin screwdriver, tweezers
3. Alcohol, cotton wool, needle
4. More or less straight arms.
The first thing we do is twist the bolts that secure the metal bar to the connectors and remove this bar. Next, remove the metal crown from the connector.
')
To remove the cover from the connector, metal fasteners that have the bolts screwed in must be removed from the board. We heat the solder and move the hardware towards the GPU. Now we can bend the fastener slightly so that it is convenient to pick it up. We take tweezers and carefully remove the fasteners, at the same time heating the solder on the other side with a soldering iron. In the same way we extract the second fastener. Most likely in the holes will remain solder. It must be removed (by any method known to you; I turned the board over and heated it with a soldering iron from the bottom — the holes there were quite large, the solder flowed out and remained on the sting) so that you could insert the fasteners into place later.
Now we are looking for the latch at the bottom, push it, and move the cover towards ourselves - it will be removed with little effort. After these simple body movements, we can see the insides of the connector.

Now think about the possible causes of interference. In fact, they could arise either as a consequence of the oxidation of contacts, or due to the loose fitting of the legs to the petals.
We take a needle, and gently clean each petal from the inside. After we take alcohol, pour it into some small container (I used it as a lid from an old vial of alcohol) and dip all the petals into it. You can, in principle, even without a lid, wet them thoroughly with alcohol using cotton wool, for example, but it was more convenient for me to leave it with a lid for a while. We are waiting for about fifteen minutes, remove the tank with alcohol and blow the connector to remove the drops inside the petals.

These actions would be enough, but we could unbend the petals when cleaning with a needle, and just for greater confidence, we press each petal with a convenient tool for us (I took ducks, but tweezers would do).
Now the connector can be assembled. First of all, the cover - we dress it neatly so as not to bend the contacts. After we take the fasteners, insert them into place, align, clamp bolts and seal.
That's what I got after sealing.

Dress the crown, attach the top bar and fasten with bolts.
That's all, the connector is cleaned, the board is inserted - we rejoice in the clean and beautiful picture without interference on the screen!
ZY .: Most likely the warranty on your video card will expire after the above actions, but if you do everything carefully, then no one will notice, but do not forget that cheating is not good.
