The Federal Antimonopoly Service has filed a lawsuit against Megafon for imposing the SuperAON service
The Rostov Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service initiated a case against OJSC MegaFon on the grounds of violation of part 1 of article 10 of the Federal Law of July 26, 2006 No. 135- “On Protection of Competition” for imposing the SuperAON service. The service was connected according to a scheme very popular with the “Big Three” - it automatically turned on for all subscribers of the Caucasian branch of the operator from December 18, was free as part of the action, and then became paid, and to disable it you had to send an SMS or dial a USSD command.
The Rostov Directorate of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia asks MegaFon subscribers who have any information on this case to contact the FAS staff using the contact details provided on the website. I hope this case will serve as a good precedent in relation to other mobile operators.
