This morning, as usual, came to work. As usual, I chose Opera in the taskbar. As usual, I decided to read ajaxian.com. But Opera responded only with a dead hang ... Of course, I recently got used to the fact that she often crashed on blogspot blogs, at a local Voronezh forum, but the dead hang happened for the first time. And this was the last drop ...
Opera use since 2002, with the 6th version. From the first days I liked the unrealistically fast work on my 24 kbps dialup. Of course, in those distant times, not all sites were displayed correctly in the opera, and you had to use both and the navigator. But the love of Opera did not pass. Even when the 7th version came out with a terrifying interface.
Opera staged friends, acquaintances and acquaintances acquaintances.
And now, after 8 years, the day came when Opera had to part with. It is simply impossible to tolerate these crashes and freezes, this awful work with tabs, this blocking of left content on a page with the help of source code search and entering addresses into Blocked content. And what do I need something from the browser? I give a comparative table of browsers that I considered as an alternative. Which one of them was chosen is probably obvious.
Note For Chrome indicated with a question mark, because I know about the existence of AdBlock, but did not use.
So, today I have a new browser that I will put to my friends, acquaintances and acquaintances. I hope someday, when the race for CSS3 / HTML5 / SVG / ACID3 subsides and a simple user comes out on top for the creators of the opera, when I can work with the tabs, I will return to the opera. But not now…
PS Oh yes, "the fastest browser on earth." Well, the fact that Habr opens in the opera three and a half nanoseconds faster, I will try to survive;)

UPD: I will try to explain what was meant by normal work with tabs (visual + scrolling)
9 tabs - all chocolate
20 tabs - in opera, visual tabs are 10px high, it is very “convenient” to navigate
23 tabs - in the opera, visual tabs disappear (I did not turn off the setting, why did some uncle suddenly decide that I do not need them?)
in the firefox, they are the same, it is convenient to scroll, you can see the neighboring ones
PS about pcm + scroll in firefox with installed FoxTab I will not even say, it must be seen
