Smooth Video Pack - smooth video playback (PAL, 720p, 1080p)

Smooth Video Pack (SVP) is designed for viewing videos on a PC with the effect of smooth movements.
Algorithms for improving the smoothness of movements are calculated intermediate frames, placed when playing between the original frames, this creates the effect of increased smoothness of movements.

Processing takes place in real time, this requires c2d from 2.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM for 720 p video.

It all started with TV 100 Hz
There are several technologies to increase the smoothness of movements when watching videos on a computer. As far as I know, the first successful results in this direction were made by Philips with its Digital Natural Motion (DNM) technology, which it used in its 100 Hz television sets. Subsequently, this technology was implemented in the WinDVD software player called Trimension DNM. The craftsmen were able to make this technology work not only in the WinDVD software player, and, accordingly, were able to post process the results of TrimensionDNM.

In parallel, work was carried out and other manufacturers of televisions on a similar technology. Samsung has this technology called True Motion. Among the developers of this technology was the MSU laboratory. For computers, this technology is embodied by them in the Frame Rate Converter (MSU FRC) filter.
