Today, April 18, the second Open Technology Forum was held in Yekaterinburg. For me, this is something new and interesting. I would like to share with the rest of the community about what we have been told and shown on this forum today. So, the forum itself was held at the USTU-UPI.

There were a lot of interesting people whom I would like to introduce and briefly tell you what they were talking about. There are photos and traffic.
I apologize in advance for the quality of the photos.
So, let's begin:
While everyone was going to the organizers included a very interesting film about Linux, here is a frame from it

I think it is worth mentioning the organizers themselves, thank them very much for this event.
- Public organization "GNU / Linux User Group of Yekaterinburg",
- MyOOo.ru Internet project - available and easy about OpenOffice.org,
- Company GNU / LinuxCenter, linuxcenter.ru
Here are their beautiful flags in the next photo.

Honestly, I didn’t expect much excitement, but nevertheless it came to the people decently, in my opinion

The forum was opened by Valentin Sinitsyn, who is also the host of the event, he is the editor-in-chief of the Russian version of the LinuxFormat magazine.

Basically he talked about routers with Linux on board. As ready-made solutions offered:
- IpCop
- Clearos
- Endian firewall
- eBox Platform
- Ideco ICS (commercial solution)
The second speaker was Mikhail Zhurukhin (forgive me if I was mistaken with the last name)

He talked a lot and interestingly about Mandriva Linux 2010. About the huge savings of some companies that decided to switch to Mandriva, about flash drives with it.
Regarding Mandriva, there were a lot of technical issues that almost seamlessly flowed into controversy. Alexander Kazantsev answered most of the questions

The third speaker was Denis Khlebnikov. He told us about the heavy share of 1C :) He told us about which databases are used in 1C, the history of development and mentioned a little about the differences in 1C versions

The guest was followed by a guest from Moscow, Dmitry Shurupov, a graduate student of the ICT department at MGIEM

I will present a few slides from his presentation.

Well, the last speaker was Gregory Shatrov. Spoke about licenses GPL, BSD and dual licensing

Well, in general, that's all. Thanks to all those who came and those who organized.
