Visualization of site activity using codeswarm

Codeswarm

This utility visualizes the history of repository commits. She is able to save frames in separate files, which can then be merged into video using, for example, mencoder. For this, codeswarm needs an xml file with activity in the repository. Together with codeswarm comes a script that converts logs from svn, cvs, etc. to your own.

Access log

It turns out, codeswarm without a difference what to visualize, the program needs only the correct xml. So I thought that you could use this utility to generate video activity on the site. For this, the access log converter of Apache or nginx in the event log was written. The basis was taken native converter.

after all the steps we get something like this short video.
