First of all, you need to disassemble the clock. We remove the hands one by one, they are attached to everyone in different ways, but in most Chinese watches are removed without effort. Put them aside so as not to bend. Turn off the central washer and remove the dial.

Just do not try to disassemble the mechanism itself. On my watch there were such enticing latches that are very easy to open. Gathering back the gears, I lost about half an hour.

A4 sheet is too small, so we take a paper A3 (for your watches, see the situation). Whatman paper is denser and better than plain paper. Circling the circle and cut, yes, yes, like in school. :)


In the middle, make a hole for the axes of the arrows; I made it with a stationery knife, but you can just with a pencil. Now we will paste the new dial over the old one, only the moment was at hand, but maybe it is for the best. Hold will be stronger.

This item could be done before gluing with the dial, then you do not need to dance with lines. But I still describe this process.

I decided not to copy the dial from the picture but to invent my own, the main thing is to check everything with a calculator so as not to look like a stupid sweat.

Little about performance

It is clear that the performance "on the knee" does not claim a premium. There is a lot that can be improved. For example, instead of plywood to make a completely new dial. In the process, the idea was born to make it from plexiglass and engrave the numbers, insert the LED and make a glowing clock.
It was possible to make a binary clock by presenting the numbers in binary form. In general, rich soil for creativity.
