Video projector for mobile phone

Microvision announced PicoP, a miniature video projector built directly into a mobile phone. Its prototype was presented at the Society of Information Display (SID) 2007 exhibition. According to the manufacturer, the novelty is able to project an image with a maximum resolution of WVGA (854x480 pixels), it turns out to be clear, saturated and contrast, and even a not very smooth surface fits. The thickness of the PicoP module is 7 mm.


According to Microvision, the PicoP module will be a worthy addition for multimedia phones and will be useful when viewing from streaming video, digital television or high-resolution photos from a mobile device.
