Today we continue to highlight its results in the "Modding Peripherals" category. Often, novice modders choose a mouse as their first test subject. The competition gathered not only entry-level works, but also labor-intensive mice!

1 place. "Dedication to Giger" - kreator

The modder with the nickname “kreator” is a fan of Hans Rudolf Giger (him Hans Rudolf Giger), the legendary artist, designer of the scenery of the film “Alien” (Alien). The mouse has acquired a new form thanks to the sculptural modeling of epoxyline (a two-component polymer). A new scroll wheel of brass was created and wire braid was used. Even the mouse connector itself has undergone modernization. All this was skillfully painted, but the kreator did not stop there, the stand was also illuminated, and the demons cast from a tin-lead alloy guarded the approaches to the mouse. The work was done simply colossal, and the mouse acquired a truly fantastic look.

2nd place. "Monitor in a tree" - kklloopp77

The modder with the nickname "kklloopp77" likes to work with wood, so the material of this mod is oak. The monitor frame was cut from oak blanks, painted by hand and equipped with a fan for better cooling. The monitor fits nicely into the shelves of the same oak; the acoustics controls are conveniently located on the right of the shelf. The result of the grandiose work was simply an amazing workplace, comfortable, and most importantly stylish-looking.

3rd place. Lara Croft - BlackJack

BlackJack modder created a mouse dedicated to the heroine of the Tomb Raider comic book, video game and movie series dedicated to Lara Croft. The mouse was painted matt black, a scrolling wheel made of red plexiglass with the inscription “Lara Croft” was created, and also a figured window was made in the shape of the main heroine of the series. The scroll wheel has a red backlight, and the window is covered with a silver grid.

4th place. “Mouse Modding” - [ForWarD]

Modder [ForWarD] chose a standard gray mouse for modding. She acquired a new bright color, as well as a figured window in the shape of a chameleon, cut by hand. Also, the mouse was honored with vents on the sides, which fit perfectly into the new design. The final of the upgrade was the installation of a green backlight, as well as the replacement of a regular red LED for a green one.

The idea of ​​creating a mouse in the form of a car in Tony appeared long ago. Having selected the necessary model of car, the modder set to work, and after completing all the spackling and painting activities, the mouse was simply born again. Changed not only the color and overall shape. The mouse had parking lights, brightly illuminating the surface of the table, as well as lights, so as not to get lost in the darkness of the night. Guessing that this mouse can only be on the wire coming out of the car's bumper.

The Petersburg modder "Quiker" presented a bright mouse to the King of Modding 2009. The mouse was restored, puttied, primed and painted in acid-bright colors. After that, she proudly received her name - Sourfish. Additional buttons stand out brightly against a green background.

Modder aLeXgO took netbook as an object for modding. It was replaced by full-time cooling for a more efficient, installed Bluetooth module, which is not in the basic configuration of this netbook. The top cover and the area around the touchpad was plastered with brown leather, all of which gave the netbook a truly chic look and enhanced functionality.

8th place. "Vallejo" - Slavik

The modder with the nickname "Slavik" created an unusual mouse pad. The rug has a juicy blue light, non-slip surface, suitable for all kinds of rodents, and engraved on the edges of the rug. Postapocalyptic themes provided reproductions of famous artists - Luis Royo and Boris Valeggio (Borris Vallejo).

9th place. "Mouse in the grid" - Mihan93

The modder with the nickname "Mihan93" wrapped his mouse in a cloth, wove a net from the threads and wrapped the mouse in it. The mouse view turned out to be rather unusual, thanks to such a grid, but the highlight of the project was the brightly lit scroll wheel. The mouse turned out to be comfortable to the touch and pleasant to the eye.
