We are trying to optimize the user experience with Evernote: fewer clicks here, higher access speeds there ... And today we are presenting a big update to our Google Chrome extension (those who already use it will get a new one in the auto-update process). From this point on, it can already be considered almost as a full-fledged Evernote client. And that's why.
Navigating Notes
')
The Chrome extension now lets you scroll through the list of notes right inside the pop-up. We have added a tab at the bottom of the extension window, on a click on which you can view your notes. You can simply scroll through the list of notes or use the search and filters, in the case with which we took the Magic Bar browser as a basis (this is the name of the Chrome address bar, which can do everything). You can search for notes by keywords, as well as filter them by notebooks, tags and saved searches, all in one search box. As you enter the text, the appropriate filter options with explanatory icons will appear in the line. After selecting the appropriate selection of notes.
After you have found the desired note, click to open the note in a new window.
Travel notebook
As usual, when you click on the Evernote extension icon without selecting any elements of the web page, a quick note creation window opens that allows you to jot down simple text right inside the extension. Moreover, the text field of a quick note now knows how to memorize, and if you, having started writing a note, left the extension, and then opened it again, your started thought will be waiting for you there. All this turns the creation of notes into a light notepad that will save your ideas and thoughts arising in the process of web surfing. When you are ready, just click "Save", and the note will go to your account.
Please note that until you click “Save”, the contents of the unfinished quick note are missing in your account.
Expansion Settings
Right-click on our extension icon and select “Settings” to open a window with options. There you can define the parameters for your extension, including the sorting type of notes, saving the tab with notes open when the extension itself is closed, the target notepad for the created notes, etc.
We really enjoy all these new features. It took a lot of effort to get the most out of the browser’s potential. More improvements are coming soon. Do not disconnect!
