St. Petersburg Academic University promotes spammers

Recently, on Habré many posts about education in IT.

Today I will tell you how the magistracy of St. Petersburg Academic University promotes itself:

I receive a letter from a certain Alexander S. Kulikov with the following content:

Respectfully,

- Personally, I am not acquainted with Mr. Kulikov.
The question arises - where did he get the e-mail?

After a simple googling there is one guess:
The Microsoft School on Data Structures and Algorithms , which is organized jointly with the Academic University of Physics and Technology, has the aforementioned Mr. Kulikov on the organizing committee.
And I registered in it.
But I didn’t give consent to using my e-mail for purposes other than anything related to school.

So, according to the law:
Federal Law "On Advertising". Article 18. Advertising distributed by telecommunication networks :
1. Distribution of advertising over telecommunication networks, including through the use of telephone, facsimile, mobile radio telephone communications, is allowed only with the prior consent of the subscriber or addressee to receive advertising. At the same time, an advertisement is deemed to be widespread without the prior consent of the subscriber or addressee, unless the distributor proves that such consent was obtained. The advertising distributor is obliged to immediately stop the distribution of advertising to the address of the person who applied to him with such a request.

This newsletter is spam ...
I would like to draw the attention of the Microsoft School and the Administration of the Academic University to the activities of its employee.
