Paramount Pictures and
Seagate have announced a first-of-a-kind partnership. Now, some models of hard drives from Seagate (a series of
FreeAgent Go , to be more precise) will be sold with films already stored on it.
There will be 21 films in total, though only
Star Trek among them will be free. The remaining twenty will be available only after the user purchases an access code on the Seagate website (priced between 10 and 20 dollars).

On the hard disk, there are no instructions on how to use video files (by the way, they say that they are HD 720p) or on obtaining a password. The only instruction found on a small unsightly piece of paper in a box that is very easy to miss or throw out.
