April 15, From the concert hall of the Mariinsky Theater , will be held the world's first live television broadcast of the ballet in 3D. Viewers around the world will have the opportunity to watch a three-dimensional image of ballet live.

The program of the gala concert will feature fragments of the legendary ballets from the Mariinsky Theater’s golden fund performed by the world ballet stars Ulyana Lopatkina, Irma Nioradze, Victoria Tereshkina, Alina Somova, Igor Zelensky, Leonid Sarafanov, Vladimir Shklyarov, Anastasia and Denis Matvienko and others. The gala concert will be opened by Valery Gergiev and Maya Plisetskaya.

The signal will be transmitted in an open format, which will make it possible for any viewer with 3D equipment to view the world premiere. As part of the celebration of the year of Russia in France, a gala evening will be held at the residence of the Russian ambassador in Paris, with a viewing of the April gala concert of the Mariinsky Theater in the declared format. A special platform for watching a 3D broadcast will be equipped in Moscow.
