Microsoft and Yahoo close by Popfly?
The launch of Microsoft Popfly - a tool for creating mashaps - may be a new milestone in the way of combining the forces of Microsoft and Yahoo for more successful competition with Google. So, at least, some experts say.
Launched on May 18, Popfly is positioned as a competitor to Yahoo! Pipes. All mashups are created by dragging and dropping “blocks”. And, most interestingly, Popfly contains “blocks” that support various Yahoo services (News, Traffic, Answers and Flickr), but we cannot talk about Google support.
Experts believe that Google-blocks were not intentionally included in the general toolkit.
